Seoul: Insadong and Jogyesa Temple
South Korea | Friday, May 21, 2010 | 25 photos
Insadong is the neighborhood in Seoul to visit if you want to learn about Korean Tradition. It is a street full of vendors selling anything traditional, tea houses, art galleries and coffee shops. It is very beautiful and lively. In Insadong is the head temple ok Korea's largest buddhist sect, Jogyejong. The temple, Jogyejong was a must visit on May 21st because it was Buddha's Birthday and there was a lamp lighting festival. It was beautiful and very peaceful after pushing your way through the tightly packed streets of Insadong and the haggeling with the salesmen.
