Volcan Arenal. It is till active and smokes sometimes, one side is very hot with molten lava. This boat ride we took towards the mountains of Santa Helena, was a lovely way to see the Volcano in it's glory against the blue sky.

I love crafts. Not to buy them, but to admire them as a emblems of stories told over generations, or long- learned skills handed down from mother to daughter or father to son, using local (if at times unsustainable) resources.

On the hunt to see some crocodiles, in a tiny and precarious canoe. We could not move an inch for fear of over turning, my hands were shaking I can tell you!
