About caitlinm
My love for image making was sparked early in life through my dad as we would explore the Victorian high country together with an old film camera in hand and a manual light meter. We would spend hours studying the smallest details in the toadstools that huddled together or the changing shades of greens as the sun hit the valley.
For the last 8 years I have been on my own journey traveling across Australia, Africa, South East Asia, Canada and Europe with my camera in hand capturing what I see and feel. It is my way of making sense of this incredible world we live in and seeing the beauty in the smallest details.
The ability for images to tell a story is such a powerful tool for understanding, change and acceptance.
Being able to assist photographer Jason Edward would be an invaluable learning opportunity, and a chance to realize a dream of telling the stories of people and places through my images. I hope to create a wider understanding of the importance of culturally diversity, tradition and the world we live in.
To be able to continue on this journey would be a dream come true, and an opportunity I would grab with both hands.
