Switzerland and France

FRANCE | Thursday, 13 September 2007 | Views [372]

We took the train to the Jungfrau, the highest point in Europe, in the Swiss Alps on Tuesday. The ride took 3 hours each way, but we had gorgeous weather and could actually see the mountain. It was beautiful up there, not a lot of snow, but you could tell it would be gorgeous in the winter. We hiked for a while around a lower curve and could hear the music from the cow bells. We never knew they actually wore them:)

Yesterday we took the train from Basal to Grenoble, the city near my cousins village. We skateboarded down the hill with 2 year old Ella, pushed Paloma on the rope swing; and then had a delicious dinner with Marc and Catherine after they went to bed. We will be a little sad to return to Paris tomorrow, although Sue is getting ready for home and I am excited to start my train trip.
