My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Brooke, I am 32 years old and only just starting my photography journey. When I slip into my 'photographer zone', the world takes on a whole new perspective. The morning work commute is no longer a blur of moving objects and social media, but a a tangible, rich and exciting place. It's like I open my eyes and actually see for once! I love being in that zone. I have a day job but it's not my passion. I will get up at 4am to shoot the first light of the day before I go to work. It makes me feel connected to my world. I believe I have the talent to make a living as a photographer (an image of mine was chosen for Australian Photography Mag), but my technical skills need work. Hence why this trip would be so incredible! I am ready to learn. I am ready for long, hectic, tiring days. I am extremely patient! I love writing travel blogs! In developing countries, a picture of ones child is a precious possession that most people don't have. I want to use this trip not only learn everything I can from Jason, but to explore ways of connecting photographers to the communities they shoot. I have a few ideas on this front already and would love to examine them further. Pick me! :)
