It's pretty amazing that we have been here almost a month, but it is easy to adjust to life here on the Phra Nang Peninsula. Our friend Dave just left for California after spending about two and a half weeks climbing with us here in Railay and Tonsai. We got in a bunch a great routes while Dave was here and he really pushed us to climb harder. We also became quite close with a couple from North East England (Jason and Laura), and they also just left today. We'll certainly miss them, but I'm sure that we'll continue to meet interesting people throughout the rest of our travels.
We've also been climbing with a couple from Washington state (Craig and Heidi), and in a couple of days the four of us are going on a "visa run" - the tourist visa in Thailand only lasts 30 days so we'll head to Malaysia to renew our visa. Craig and Heidi took a climbing course about three weeks ago from one of the many climbing schools here - they liked it so much that they bought all the gear and have been attacking the cliffs almost every day since. It's actually pretty amazing to see how much energy they put into it!
Other than that, we have been trying to decide where (and when) to go next. We are thinking that we'll fly to Delhi and then make our way to Nepal, but we're still not sure. We'll probably end up leaving Thailand around the second week of March, but Tonsai is not an easy place to leave (it is however, a very easy place to live!!!).
Sending lots of love and huge smiles from Thailand!!!
