Even Roni
was a slower starter today after her late night/early morning with The Godfather. Still managed some time
watching the squirrels (the Tooting squirrels are hyperactive so there was much
to keep her entertained), reading for a little and catching up on journals
before Bray arose.
We then made
breakfast and a real coffee (first non instant in some time) and shared the
brekkie with Clare when she got up. It was then Monopoly Time!! Finally
residing in a house that had original Monopoly we were amped to play it in London,
near all the places that we have now been to and are properties we could then
buy. It has been cool walking and tubing around London while recognising so
many place names from a game we played so far away.
This game
became epic (as they always do) and breaks had to be made for lunch, packing
our gear, getting clean etc but in the end Clare owned us. Bray will
tell you it is because of a poor sales deal made between Roni and Clare but
this is hard to believe.
Eventually
we packed up the board, got our gear and headed off through the drizzle to
Tooting station. Tube home to Maida Vale where we cleaned up the place and did
dishes before finishing the last Mars/Snickers ice creams in the freezer over
an extended game of Citadels before a
rub for Bray’s sore back and time for sleep.
