The BIG Trip

Night Lights

VIETNAM | Wednesday, 3 August 2011 | Views [451]

Today began with a complimentary brekkie (included in our room price) BUFFET! We went hard and enjoyed the goodness.

Back home after that to crunch some numbers and re-pack as they were maybe going to send us to the hotel we had actually booked in today... Checked and no, staying here. Nice room and great to practise our packing :-P

Off to look at shoes then - there is a shoe shop run by one of the ex-street kids helped by Blue Dragon so we thought we would check it out.

The rain REALLY came down after that so we scampered home via a wee cubbyhole for noodle soup lunch. Bray crashed out when we got home and Roni caught up on labelling 3 days worth of photos! Epic.

Time then to get out and about - we walked all along our side of the river/inlet then crossed to take pics of the beautiful sunset. Noticed a lot of action down the other end of town so walked down and saw hundreds of floating candles being released into the w. Waatertched in silence (taking pics) and chatted with a local Ma and her two kids (7 and 5yo) about life.

Walked around the end and decided it was time to get hydrated. Played cards and had a Larue (local beer) on a balcony while teaching the waitress how to play 'Golf'.

Down to Ms Be's foodstall by the river after this for dinner then home. Roni crashed - had been a bit of an emo day for her - while Bray labelled today's photos. :-)
