We ride...!

After breakfast we rented two bikes and headed out...first to book our seat on the bus for tomorrow morning then off into the wild :-) Our first stop was at the Ampitheatre and Elephant Temple ...at least we think so...following the directions we had :-) Then we crossed the river and headed left. We went about 5k past the turn off as the bridge we crossed on was different than what we planned... All good though - saw some of the edges of town! Turned around and made our way to Thien Mu Pagoda. It was pretty impressive with cool bonsai trees, a TALL pagoda, nice views and interesting history. Cycled back to town after that - Bray videoing and taking photos most of the way. Until he had to stop to stay alive! Home to pick up a few things then went to the post office - fortunately they let us send our parcel even though we didn't have our passport numbers on us. As we exited it was dark AS at 2.30pm...then the skies opened! Rainy season for sure - we were drenched but laughed all the way home from returning the bikes. Home to change and dry off - wrung ourselves out before going inside the reception area but still dripped all over! Out for some cards and a beverage later then explored the market on the other side of the river. On our way back across the iron bridge we saw a big double rainbow, very cool! Then back to our usual place for a yummy dinner. Shared the place with crew from a badminton club out the back who were having beers after training - cute range of people! From a really old dude and young fullas to the sole young lady holding her own :-) Home now to rest, watch a lil' Rocky I and pack our bags for an early start tomorrow when we head to Hoi An.
