We both had difficulty getting up this morning - even Roni. Yesterday's adventure was exhausting (though fun!).
After breakfast at The World (where we stay) we wandered off around Hoan Kiem Lake. The heat was INTENSE after the coolness of Laos - like being in Bangkok again and we really had to adjust. The lake was fun; many touts, some cool sculpture, water skaters (the insects), eels, ANZ Ha Noi! and many photo opportunities for Bray.
We also sorted our trip to Ha Long Bay and the open bus ticket that will take us down the coast all the way to Ho Chi Minh City. Lunch in the Old Quarter was tasty - spring rolls and the Vietnamese version of noodle soup. Yum!
We were quite warm after all that wandering so headed home for a shower to cool off.
Then...the water puppets at 1530. VERY VERY cool! We both enjoyed the music, puppetry, theatre and everything. Amazing!
Tried to meet up with Si after that - but he didn't show so we went home and had a quiet one. Photos from three days or so to label and Bray had serious TV watching to catch up on. He also had a go at fixing Roni's back - bung from the broken seat on our bus...MUCH appreciated.
Hunger drove us out after 10pm then home to bed.
