My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My passion in life is discovering and immersing myself in new cultures. I have spent the last ten years travelling and living in developing countries. My greatest education in life comes from learning about the individual stories of those less fortunate. Discovering how people survive from day to day and the psychology of these societies inspire me to learn more. Photography is the means by which I share these experiences with people in the comfort of their own home.
You will rarely find me in a backpacker hostel. I enjoy living among the people, learning the local customs and traditions and completely immersing myself into the culture. Improving my photography will help convey these experiences.
I would like to take people on a journey to discover the many different cultures, landscapes and people of the world through my photography. I want to give people the experience of being there in the moment.
I am constantly seeking new ways to improve my photography and better convey my travel experiences. This scholarship would provide me with the opportunity to work in a field where I could genuinely say I love my job.
