    Days are spent gazing into the distance hoping for enough sales each day so Veronica can support her family. Leaving an education behind at the age of ten to work in tourism, her well-being and that of her family rely solely on the tourists taste for freshly baked bread. by: blackmamba Views[228] Once packaged, Veronica travels one hour to the neighbouring village of San Marcos La Laguna to sell her bread. Here she sells daily to the tourists in a bid to earn enough to make it from one day to the next. by: blackmamba Views[209] The final process in the kitchen is to package the bread in a form that is both cost effective and appealing for tourists. by: blackmamba Views[227] The bakery is a rudimentary kitchen in which the only decoration is a simple family photo and the occasional religious paraphernalia that represents the strong faith present in the Mayan household. by: blackmamba Views[281] Baking bread for the tourist trade helps Veronica support her family.
