Elephants are giant guys and they must eat a lot of food per day so mahouts usually wake up in the midnight to take sugar-cane (kind of favourite food) for them.

A mahout is jumping on back of elephants. After a hard working day for training, practicing, trekking… elephants always are relaxed by bathing on a river or a stream.

In this picture, a young mahout is learning more english language, he told with me that he want to be better to make conversation with foreign tourists and maybe he will get another chance to get higher position like a manager in the future,
