    A view rarely shown by the media. A women waits for a bus in the mountains surrounding Port Au Prince. Views[152] Since the majority of the city was heavily damaged from the quake, settlements popped up further and further away from the city. For a year after the quake, government officials were still seen removing government materials out of the heavily damaged building. Views[199] In the aftermath of the quake, tent cites were erected all over the country like this one near Pétionville. These boys are seen playing with a kite built from the still large quantities of garbage left laying around Haiti. Views[157] After the earthquake in Haiti, the rebuild was a long, slow process.
