    Barbers of India he photos in this Journal are from a recent trip to India where I focused on Barbers. I photographed 68 barbers from Kashmir in the north to as far as Mumbai. The choice to do barbers was simply a fascination with humans love of hair and my own hair loss.

    The street is a major place of commerce throughout India and it is not just unique to merchants. Barbers cluster in their respective spots along alleys, streets and highways. Their barber chairs accommodate their patrons and human hair meets dry earth throughout the day.
