Well, after some 30 odd hours of flying and seeing the insides of terminals around the world we are now in the lovely city of Buenos Aires. Already i can't imagine a better place to start. The city is fantastic. Such a vibrant and friendly city. Our Hostel is in the southern part of the city, San Telmo, which is more the working class area, but famed for it's Tango and night life. The streets come alive at night. You may think coming home after midnight in a working part of the city that you don't know too well may be a little daunting, but completely the opposite. There are so many people around that you feel right at home. Families with their young children stay up well after midnight and this on a Monday night.
Not everthing has gone to plan though (what would a holiday be without a little bit of mishap) Ange's back has well and truely gone. So we're walking the streets at a rather slow pace and of course guess who gets to lug all the bags :) And this morning we missed our flight to Ushuaia. We did leave it a little fine but the damn taxi never arrived. Oh well!! Live and learn, $100 US$ lesson though, Ouch!! But on the bright side it gives us a few more days in lovely Buenos Aires and a chance for Ange's back to rest some more.
