Rach P's visit- Manly and English Scones

AUSTRALIA | Tuesday, 11 February 2014 | Views [214]

I think I have been very spoilt when it comes to having friends visiting me here in Australia. My lovely friend Rachel came over to visit from Christchurch in New Zealand. She is a doctor and is on a year's cpntract to help out at the hospital.

I have been craving all things English such as good tea, scones and a sunday dinner. Typical me its all food comforts relateed! Me and Rach go for high tea in the westfield centre. Its not like the derby one, its really high end with designer shops in Sydney. We both get served cute little cakes, macroons, scones and l;ittle sandwiches. I was inlove with the cakes, they were so pretty, too good to eat!

On the Sunday, its raining! which isn't great when I am trying to show off the Australian weather! So I take her and her boyfriend Mark who has also come to see her so we can enjoy some surfing! The ferry over to Manly is really great as it sails right past the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.

I'm still not very good at surfiing but Rachel is and she is able to stand up. I manage it once or twice before falling in! Surfing is knackering!!
