Discovering the world one step at a time

Singapore with mum and clive

SINGAPORE | Thursday, 27 March 2014 | Views [266]

For weeks I have been counting down the days until I got to see my parents again. Anyone would think that I was about 12 not 22, but I have really missed my mum. Luckily modern technology means that I can see her all the time on skype, not sure I could have handled travelling pre-skype/ mobiles.

So happy! I actually cried at the airport.

Me and Oliver arrived in Singapore at 8am on the Tuesday 25th of March. Our orginal plan was to wait at the airport. Singapore is the best airport in the world. It has so much to do! It has a free cinema, swimming pool on the roof, butterfly house!, free tour of the city etc etc

However, me and Oliver stupidly went through immigration which means you can't then go back to the swimming pool. So with a whole day spare we decided to go to universal studios on sentosa island. Sentosa island is an actual island just off the coast of Singapore and it hosts 4 entertainment parks and a Casino.

It cost $74 Singaporean dollars at the entrance but they were selling tickets cheaper at the Airport!

I've been to Universal studios in Florida and they are the same. They are very well  designed in that the park is much more about the theme than the rides. I love the shriek 4d ride!

Mum and Clive arrived at 6pm and straight out for dinner.

Singapore in the day , river and night safari :). Would highly recommend the night safari.

At thr river safari I got to see a Giant Panda! They are Olivers favourate animal :) It so so lovely lying on its back asleep.

Before getting the plane to Borneo we walk around the marina, there are some fantastic beaches in Singapore, but first and foremost it is a port. So the sealine is crowded with ships. I don;'t know why they don't make them more attractive.

Also seen the harbour front and the beaches.  So many ships!
