Meandering Through Montenegro

MONTENEGRO | Monday, 22 June 2009 | Views [411]

The Doctor writes: We get to Bar and immediately go in search of the bus station pushing past the local taxi drivers pestering us for a fare. When we get there we find out a bus to Kotor is less than an hours wait and book it on the spot.

The bus ride on the way was a really scenic trip as the road went right along the coastline and the driver certainly made us feel as close to it as possible with the crazy driving. We get there and take up an offer from a Pom to stay at his place for a night.

This place is known for the old town which is very small and quite charming, with its high walls that protect the people within and even go up the adjacent mountain to make sure no one sneaks over. Its too small to spend more than a night in this place but still interesting nonetheless.

MJ seemed to like this place more than Venice.
