    Between the buildings that used to house Nazi administrators and soldiers, a security guard is hit by a stroke of sunlight. He stands on the alley all of the prisoners had to pass before they were counted every day. Many of them for the last time before they were shot. by: auschwitz Views[579] On entering the barracks where the prisoners were put, you realize how huddled and inhumane the living conditions really were. This bunk of just over two square meters was once the home of entire families, if they were lucky enough to stay together. by: auschwitz Views[505] Inside, tourists wander around the gigantic open space, unsure how to behave on the ground that stood witness to history’s biggest genocide. by: auschwitz Views[541] The famous gate threatens to swallow whatever approaches on the train tracks leading up to it.
