Bangalore, Hyderabad, and me

I thkn my trip so far has been a perfest cas of "easing in" first Karachi, with my family, the Bangalore with distant relatives and now Hyderabad, in a perfectly shaby Hotel for 250RS. (2 euros, 3$). It is raining cats and dogs, and I think I saw a drowned rat comng to thid internet cafe. The city is flooded partly and right now I don't feel like movin/ exploring anything. I thnk I will go and find myself a slightly better hotel. I had to take thios one because all the "recommendd" ones wre full! Hadn't expected that.
The last two days were filled with actoin, it seems. When Iarrived at Bangalore airport it was 10.30am, and Itook a cab into town. I circled the area which I thought was city cente (I was wrong, by the way) and marveled at the smog and amount of cars/rickshaws. The weather was extremely pleasant, comnig from Karachi, I found the 23 deg C and the dry air almost cold;). I had a Banana from the streetvendor and coconutjuice fresh out of the coconut. hmmmm...mjam. I bargained for a ickshaw to bangalore university since i though this would be a cool place to be, but thee was really not much hee, and my poor ickshaw driver had the worst of rickshaws: we wer slower than anyone else (even the two fat guys i saw passing by, so no false conclusions!) and then he ha to stop and repait it. I had enough of them, needless to say, and went back from the university by bus.
The evening and the next day I spent with the Khaleeli family and I was extremely warmly received. My "tour guide", an old lady who grew up in Bangalore and knows seemingly everything about anything, took me to russel Market, to a bookshop and showed me around the city. We all has lunch on BANANA LEAFS!! I liked it! It was a lttle spicy, granted, but extremely good, and a lot of fun!
After a wedding, where the groom got freaked a little, when I spoke to him in German (he works in Germany), I left for Hyderabad at 10.30 yesterday.
Hope all of u are wll and will keep you updated!
