DRIVING HIGHLIGHT: A tree is immersed in the glorious twilight as seen from the Bruce Highway, Queensland’s major highway, a perfect stop while on a 275-km drive from Airlie Beach in the Whitsunday Region to Townsville in North Queensland. Amid the many tourist attractions in the Queensland state, this view is priceless.

PATIENCE AND PERSISTENCE: A seagull eyes its food as a woman obliges with a piece of bread while on a cruise to Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsundays, a group of 74 islands in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Queensland. The small coastal town of Airlie Beach in the Whitsunday region is the best known jump-off point for a cruise to the islands. A cruise to Whitehaven Beach takes about two hours or less with remarkable sights like this making you feel one with nature.
