Were dropped off at Joberg airport for our flight to
Botswana, just made it on time as the traffic was hectic, to find out the plane
from Botswana was late, apparently this is the norm, but we eventually got on
there one and only jet, all the other planes are propeller driven.
Flew direct to Maun in the North and were collected by a
brother from the Maun congregation, Shiku Liyena, he is a Zambian brother, who
has lived here for a number of years with his wife Linda, and two children. He
took us direct to the cottage he arranged for us, and MAN what a surprise, we
were expecting very basic conditions, but have a lovely cottage by the river
with lounge, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Also a few pets, 4 dogs, a cat, 3
big house spiders, and a bunch of geckos. Not including donkeys, cows and goats
roaming freely on the main roads. We have fortunately not yet met the many
cobra's we were told to look out for on the path at night time.
