sorry didn't write yest ... had a long day n was exhausted ... so this bloggggggggg will be about the whole weekend :)
didn't have a freeeeee weekend grrr but instead had classes all weekend! (this didn't turn out as horrible as i thought) ...
we went to the country on saturday - a longggggg hour and a half bus trip - spent half of it talking to mel (3rd year law student) -- and then reading myyy Lolita ... (love the psychoanalysis aspect of this book) ...
country was really cool :) .. we went to a town called Compiegne ... north of Paris
we got an hour of free time to explore the town and this Christmas market which was happening (WOOO) ... me and duncan found this hot wine stall ... they had these warm christmas drinks heated up -- there was red wine with fruits and cinamon, and white wine with cherries ... we got a glass of warm red each because it was so cold ... drinking at 10am is always a good thing haha :) ... and it definately perked us up for an hour or so ... mum, i think this is the hot wine drink you are always telling me that u used to have in winter when u were younger!! i accidently spilt some red wine on my white coat sleeve - oopsy, trust this to happen to me - im always the one that does unco stuff .. but got it out really easily
we wandered the market for a while got some crepes/ churros (the spanish donuts) between all of usss
then we went to an old castle which had now been turned into a museum (about the fiftieth that we have seen on the trip) ... really nothing interesting or new to tell you about this - see nicis blog if you want the history; i took some photos butttttttt you have all seen it before!!! chandeliers, gilded roofs etc etc etc WE SEE THIS STUFF EVERY DAY!!!!! luckily not another church today :P ... its really beautiful ... but once uve seen it every day for 2 weeks ... gets a bit tiresome haha (gee im a sooky baby)
funny thing ... there was some old security guard lady there -- she was blond (this isn't really relevant but anyhow) ... and she wouldve been like 50 60 and GUESS WHAT RING TONE SHE HAD hahaha .. SMACK THAT!!! (dad -- this is like a ghetto like rnb rap song hahaha and this dude is singing about dirty stuff) ... it was so funny that she had the song ..
THEN another person fainted!! (sarah fainted a few days ago) ... vi fainted.. ended up going to hospital ..nothing serious
we hadddddddd a really yummy lunch --- my fave, three cheese pasta .. (but only in kiddie portion - so dont have a heart attack dearest mother :P) ... your daughter has not yet pillaged the village ...
then went to another castle ... this one was actually cool - called Pierrefonds .. it was Napoleon 3's and was like a huge middle ages castle - scary dungeons inside
the best thing was, because sylvia went to the hospital with vi- WE WERE FREE TO EXPLORE THE CASTLE ALONE hahahaha ... this was great fun, mucked around a bit, then me amanda n anusha decided we had seen everything and sat around having hot chocolate --- iut was a really yuky day, huge rain and huge wind -- we had to climb like 1km (maybe im exagerating and it was like 500 metres haha) up this dodgy windy road to the castle and it was yuky ..
i didnt take any pics - but have just put up some i got from nic
the car trip home wasss huge 2 n a half hours -- got a lot of lolita read ... the others slept mostly ...
people in the country were friendlier :) ... when we were drinking our hot choocolate, we were talking to a laddy who was selling stuff in the gift store, she was being silly and dressing up as sanata and making fake eyebrows and moustache from tissues -- :)
thennnnn went home ... had yummy dinner (banana, honey and butter rolls -- hahaha, since me and amanda are budgeting - as is almost everyone on the trip who is staying on for a while - we always take rolls from breakkie -- banana, honey and butter is my favourite at the moment ... most of the other girls prefer plain jam ... )
anddd then me n nici got icecream yumyum haggeez DAAAS -- anthony, i think that me and nici could kik ur butt in an icecream eating competition after our warm up last nite .. and since im not longer dairy intolerant - 7th febbbbbb im going to eat a whole litre more of icecream than u ...
weee got some wine (well i did, nic got raspbery liquer stuff) BUT i didnt have a cork opener and neither did anyone else haha sooo i spent halfa picking the cork out of my bottle (i couldnt pushit into the bottle) ... lucky only got a few shards of cork in my wine - rest was fine .. spent the night palying pictionary with everyone ...
SUNDAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ...
stupid more activities ... went to a park in a rich area ... no idea what we were looking at -- spent the music looking at cute boys jogging with jen and jessye ... so we figured out that all the cute french men hang around this park in the wealthy area ... the apartments were really cute :) ... i wont even begin to imagine the price hahaha ...
we walked around the rich area ... im not sure what we looked at but it was rpetty ... saw a coool russian churc ...
then had lunch YAY --- AUNTY SUSAN - we had french onion soup :) we had it BAKED TOOO!!! its like this thick peppery soup with heaps of onions, and you put slices of bread on top, and cheese and bake it in the oven - SO YUM ... i put up some pics ... but the pics dont look as good as it tasted ... maybe because we had allread ymessed up our soups by then hahaha ...
after lunch we went to anoher museum --- welll an old bankers house that had been turned into an art gallery ...
THEN HAD A WHOLE FREE AFTERNOON :)
ive been doing my washing/cleaning my room and starting my assingment this afternooon ... not streesssed about it at all (nic said she was) ... but i think we will be fine ...
wheather is really shitty .. really cold windy n rainy .. going to be yuk tomrrow
but have a few hours in morning off tomorrow so hopefully will be able to talk to a few of u on ms n:D

pps. I WAS REAlLY SUPPRIsed that there were so many french people running!!!! u never see it in paris!!!! no way as often as in melborune
ppps. there was a women running in a skirt hahahaha ... she was wearing a long grandma skirt and sneakers and a long coat ... it was so funny - Jen has a picture ... when we saw her, jens comment "she cant be serious" --- she looked like she was going out for a day in the city
ppppps. spoke to mUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM and dad last nite and last mornning!! thanks for the call :) its always nice to hear back from home
