A woman dressed in the traditional white funeral clothes prays for her dead husband while a monk chants the compassion mantra needed. This wishes him a reincarnation close to the Buddha´s teachings and an existence without suffering. It is part of the rite to burn paper money and other needs for the last journey of the soul until next rebirth.

A common scene at a local Vietnamese market: Motorbike drivers have to completely cover themselves in order to avoid the smog of the city. On a time on which the world seems to be rushing and globalization threatens on reaching every corner of it, one can still find these unique moments that reflect the idiosyncrasy of a country rich in culture and tradition trying to adapt itself to a bigger change.
