We feel like we should do more planning and stuff but it seems like there are so many things to do that we just end up not doing anything. So it's not quite crunch time yet :)
We did end up making the call on starting off with Australia & New-Zealand and travel west from there. Now we're just waiting for a good seat sale, or someone to build a bridge between Vancouver and Wellington, NZ. Livia, I AM SO SORRY AGAIN for changing my plans to come visit you in Sao Paulo. We're saving the best for last, YOU! I hope you'll at least let us sleep at your doorstep :o)
We bought our first plane tickets: to Montreal. We want to visit out relatives and friends before the big departure, scheduled for mid-November. Comes October 23, we'll say bye-bye to Calgary until we come back in November 2010.
We also got our vaccines done, my god those are expensive! By the time we came out of the nurse's office, I got poked 4 times and Gen twice. The bill was $300+. But you know what they say: better safe than sorry! After the shots, we went on a 8-hour road trip so our arms were hurting pretty bad after keeping them idle for that long... I still have to go back for immunisation against rabies, that's another $300+...
Oh. Noticed how there is a SKYPE status icon on the blog, I re-activated my skype account today because I intend to use it while we're away. My alias is swimmingcoach, please add me in your account - we'll chat and call for free! Gotta use the www to our advantage eh!
