Kenya | Monday, January 7, 2013 | 5 photos
My passion to photography developed whilst travelling&volunteering in Kenya, making me discover photography power&strength as tool for social change.Through the lens I can capture challenges–poverty, diseases of local people&genuine sensation&image of place,society&culture.Travel/documentary photography’s eminent visual means of raising problem awareness&pursuing relevant action.By adding value to subjects portrayed on photos I can create real stories inspiring world’s understanding.I’ve never studied photography, what I’ve grabbed is by self-learning&self-practicing driven in my passion to photography&belief that is amplifier to picturesque storytelling. With the scholarship I’d develop visual&technical skills&progress towards professional maturity.I’d improve craftsmanship&creativity&learn pursue&appreciate photography as art.Practice&knowledge gained due to the scholarship’d help me use more effectively photography as expressive tool of my photo work to document the reality&convey message/story to make social change happen.Chance to practice photography in Oman, with support of Janson’s expertise’d be life-long rewarding experience, having immense impact on my photo skills&work.
