About africanadventure
My name is Karolina and I come from Poland. As for my education, I am an economist speicalised in European economics. Since graduation I have been working in the public sector, and since 2009 in the European Commission as a policy analyst on public health and innovation.
In my free time I am volunteering with NGOs implementing development projects in rural Western Kenya. I try to contirbute to making a small difference to the most vulnerable inhabitants of that part of Kenya, where mortality, illiteracy, poverty rates are one of the highest in the country.
My passion to photography I have developped and been reinforcing while traveling across the world in pursuit of adventures and through my volunteering work in Kenya.
I believe there is nothing better than photography to capture and depict the best moments whilst visiting outstanding places, admiring beautiful and unique nature, and mingling with people rich in cultural virtues.
I also find photography a powerful tool for social change. It’s an opportunity to capture stories of local people and the challenges that affect their lives.Through the lens of my camera I hope to advance the cause of NGOs I volunteer with, and educate and inspire people to take action.
