On New Year's Day we traveled south to Okinawa World. We were greeted by a large drum outside, where visitors took turns striking the drum for good luck in the new year.
The cave was very warm and humid and had more water flowing through it than we had ever seen. It's interesting to notice the subtle changes each time we go.
We had a good afternoon wandering through Okinawa World and got to watch their eisa (traditional drum and dance) performance. Overall, a very fun way to spend New Year's Day on Okinawa.
