Exploring KL

MALAYSIA | Wednesday, 6 November 2013 | Views [360] | Comments [2]

We had a early start, heading to petronas towers to book tickets for a night tour. We then headed towards the tourist centre where we got directions to little India- was a bit disappointed as we was told it was a vibrant town, little shops, places to eat. This wasn't the case and we was faced with a bush tucker trial at a local "cafe", cold chicken and cucumber! following this (stomachs grumbling ) we ventured to KL tower- reaching the observation dec 270 metres high , little did I know Ashleigh was level to the lift floor hiperventalating. I obviously didn't mention that we would be seeing the 86th floor of the petronas towers later that evening! once Ashleigh had calmed down and was safe on the ground, we had a look around the markets and shops- we even navigated ourselves around using a map, oh yes ladies and gentlemen we can read a map) well we had to learn pretty quickly- after losing/ ruining 5 maps in the space of 48 hours, not only this our blistered tired feet went through a box of plasters (ouch) note to self bandage feet before walking approximately 15 miles round kl. This may of been in circles but we made it back to the hostel before midnight .

Tomorrow we head to Bangkok! We shall update you soon. Xxxx

Girls - one advice for food, EAT STREET FOOD! Proper, good tucker.

Vietnam - Pho Bo avoid Pho Ga (its got chicken feet, although not bad in taste, its a pain in the arse to eat). Also try the pork sandwiches, there's loads of street vendors.
Cambodia - Not so good on the food.
Thailand - Curries and Pad Thai are staples, go easy on the hot sauce (its a whole new level)
Laos - I cant remember the food... mustn't have been that good.
