Loy Krathong at Railay Beach

Today we slept in and then walked over to Rai Leh West to check it out. It was a sweet beach with white sand, turqouise water, surrounded by huge limestone cliffs. The topless girls were definitely a bonus too! Will and I bought a frisbee and just hung out at the beach for the afternoon. We ate dinner at Mom's Kitchen which is a great cheap restaurant if anyone's ever in the area. During the evening Loy Krathong was going on which is a Buddhist holiday here in Thailand. Everyone either makes or buys a floating candle device out of banana leaves. You then light the incense sticking out and at midnight when the full moon is right above everyone, you all send your floating lantern out to sea and make a wish for the next year. People were also sending these huge fire bags into the night sky. It was pretty interesting to see.
