Day 2 in the Jungle

Today we walked a lot. We had scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast provided by Pinp Pong. He also gave us our lunch pack which was wrapped in a big leaf and bamboo strips to tie it up. We threw it in our bags and off we went. We walked through some pretty stunning scenery. Hills, valleys, rivers, waterfalls and some pretty sketchy bridges over very fast moving rivers. Will broke one of the logs jumping over a stream which left the Spanish girl behind him with an inevitable soaker. She wasn't too happy but we were laughing pretty hard. We stopped for lunch on a pile of rocks near a river and opened our leaf lunch packs to find out what was inside. Turned out to be very tasty yellow curry rice with veggies. We continued walking and finally made it to the Karen Hill Tribe village. We had another delicious dinner from Ping Pong after we walked around the village which was very primitive, other than the fact that one house had satellite TV! It was pretty cool though, a very nice setting between two hills in a very lush valley. We finished the night playing guitar and singing with the local Thai people. It was a very cool night.
