The Long & Winding Road

After an amazing turkey dinner last night with my family, I am now awaiting my first of three flights today.  Im flying to Newark, NJ then to Hong Kong and then to Bangkok.  Its almost noon so I should be in Bangkok in about 30 hours.  Good times!  It was sad to say goodbye to my mom and sisters when I probably wont see them for over a year.  Mom was crying but I reassured her that I will be very safe and will email and call all the time.  Last night my phone call with Will ended with "I guess I'll just see you in Bangkok"  how weird is that?  Not looking forward to the 16 hour flight ahead of me, but I have lots of good reading material and snacks so I should be alright.  Leaving home for a year and a half makes you feel very strange and just leaves you wondering what adventures and obstacles lay ahead.  Im pumped though, I cant wait to get this trip going!
