Today was another lazy day, mainly by the beach, except that today wasn't a budget day like yesterday, where we had a limit of 400 rupees to spend (£6) and so had bread for breakfast and dinner with fruit for lunch! We survived....just!
So after a good Thai meal (so much variety in Goa) we headed upto Arambol along the beach, dimly lit by many stars and a low but large moon. The main reason we walked over an hour each way was partly to enjoy the walk and sound of crashing waves but also because Sophia insisted she wanted corn on the cob! It's particularly good because they use chilli salt (like nandos peri peri) and also lime... It's amazing!
Anyhow after scoffing that down too, we stumbled across someone who looked like a mad scientist with a telescope... Indeed he was a mad Italian astronomer, charging 25rupees to look at Saturn... I couldn't resist! It was remarkably clear and quite an amazing site, and learnt loads from this rambling nutter! We left having seen Mars too and were both quite chuffed!
Leaving Goa tomorrow for another overnight train down to Cochin in Kerela, and then a long bus journey to the mountains where we will stay for a couple of days... Can't wait!
