HI there from us, this place was so hot we could hardly breathe!. The general vote is that Dubai has no natural beauty, only expensive hotels and malls. The sky was covered in dust haze and quite oppressive. Our hotel was quite executive in style (Hilton Dubai Creek) with great beds and lovely large bathroom with a very deep bath! Heaven, possibly the last bit of luxury for the next 4 weeks! Loved the rooftop pool and especially nice for a swim in the morning. Evening trip to visit the old souks. Silk,gold and spice was a little daunting with keen hawkers;all men and also heaps just sitting around into the night. Where are the women in this place? Emirates flight from Perth was a little late, very packed. But in the end, we managed a row of 4 seats across for a roster of short sleeps between us, which was pretty lucky for us, as pointed out by our envious co-passengers! Service was very good.
