ok, so the Socceroos lost in 'that' penalty against Italy; Adriatic summers aren't long enough (bliss!); and we found that you should never use the term "Eastern Bloc" when talking to a Czech (Central Europe, please).

The English Gardens in the middle of the city. A river flows quickly under the adjacent buildings into the park; a permanent wave appears; you grab a board and surf it (to the bemused gaze of onlookers). Makes perfect sense if you don't have surf beaches like those in Oz!
