Maria & Brett's HUGE Trip 06-07-08-09-?

ok, so the Socceroos lost in 'that' penalty against Italy; Adriatic summers aren't long enough (bliss!); and we found that you should never use the term "Eastern Bloc" when talking to a Czech (Central Europe, please).

Cyprus - a country divided and rich with history

We weren't all alone - at least there was a sign every now and then, though we didn't believe we were anywhere near civilisation!

Heading down the long, dusty and perennially bumm-ppy road along the furthest-western peninsula of Cyprus, these goats met us as we made a bee-line directly for the beach (only to wash off the dust). What looked like a 20 minute spin down the coast on the map turned into a 2 hour arduous trundle through the bush IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, passing no cars, watching our fuel gauge head south towards EMPTY....
That swim was absolutely refreshing :)
