ok, so the Socceroos lost in 'that' penalty against Italy; Adriatic summers aren't long enough (bliss!); and we found that you should never use the term "Eastern Bloc" when talking to a Czech (Central Europe, please).

First pit stop on day 1. Probably about 7:30 or some ungodly hour. Set off in the first group with some of the marshals - here was the place we stuck out our hands and said "hey, my name's Phil, nice to meetcha"
