This is the last time I’ll be writing from Beijing.I would like to sum it up concisely and neatly, but that’s pretty much impossible.Instead, I’m just going to list the things I’ll miss and the things I won’t.Hopefully, this will be entertaining instead of depressing.

Things I won’t miss:
|
- The people I’ve met here (especially Mario, Case, Ilan, and all my couch surfers)
- My students
- Learning something new in a foreign language everyday
- PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
- Living in a huge city
- DVDs
- Chinese food (I think this is a given)
- Being a millionaire (while only working 15 hours a week)
- Hosting couch surfers
- Being able to travel for pennies
|
- Not seeing my family or friends back home
- Teaching
- The language barrier
- Packed public transportation
- Seeing people pick their noses in public/having a reason to pick my own nose in public (i.e. the pollution)
- Censorship
- Shops only having clothes in children’s sizes

I guess the good outweigh the bad.
But I’m excited to go home.
Even if I’m taking the long way around.
Happy 4th of July.
