2 months ago I went to Bali. Honestly it is not first time I went to Bali, but it is the first time I went to Bali without my family. I went to Bali lonely, although in the second day my boy friend meet me in Bali, flight from Semarang (Yippi I love you dear).
I made a schedule to Bali from August. I booked a flight in one of the airlines. How lucky am I because I could get a good price to trip to Bali.
Arrived in Ngurahrai International Airport, Denpasar-Bali, I reserved one taxi to picked me up to hostel. I got taxi rental number from my friend who life in Bali during 2 months. She said to me that the taxi rental is safe for the people who trip to Bali for the first time, or for women who trip in Bali alone like me hehehe.
I called 03617967575 (call center TAXI CHARTER), I told my personality identity, and how many person will be picked up, and just 5 minutes a driver called to me and ask my position. The car is better than another taxi that I found, so comfort. I told to the driver that I want to go to Poppies Land I. Poppies Land is a famous area in Kut-Bali for tourist as specially for backpacker. There are Poppies Land I and Poppies Land II. Poppies Land I is cheaper than Poppies Land II, Poppies Land I also is more silence than Poppies Land II. If you want to looking for a deepest you can stay at Poppies Land I, but if you want to get an amazing night life you can choose Poppies Land II, but I think both of it, has a best cafe and bar. Just Rp 60.000 ($6) you will picked up from airport to Poppies Land in Kuta. xoxoxo
Arrived in Poppies Land I (next to Hard Rock Cafe Bali) I looked for a hostel, I choose hostel than hotel because I don't have enough money hehe. I got a hostel, the name is ANEMONE. I booked a standard room with air conditioner Rp 200.00 ($ 20)/ night. After found the hostel, I took a nap, charge my power to looked for a motorcycle rental.
Don't worry about the facilities in Bali. Bali is the biggest destination in Indonesia. The stake holder until the civilization in Bali will give best services for everyone. Accommodation, transportation, until recreation built up as well as possible. I knew after Bali attacked by terrorist every one ask about the safety, the situation after bombardment is safe and normal. So many tourist from overseas came to Bali to enjoying their leisure.
I rent a motorcycle Rp 75.000 ($8)/day, not include the fuel. I suggest you to rent motorcycle than car. The Poppies Land I has a narrow road, only a professional driver who can drive a car as good as well. The Poppies Land I near from Kuta Beach. You can surfing there, You can rent a board Rp 100.000 ($ 10) without a guide, and Rp 150.000 ($15) with a guide.
I did not do too much in my first day. I was so tired, so after looked for a motorcycle and some food I back to hostel, rest in my dorm until tomorrow. Prepare my stamina to explore Bali in next day.
