This temple in Shanghai is constantly having maintenance carried out to ensure that future generations are able to still frequent this place of worship.

In a city which has seen a meteoric rise in economy and infrastructure, Shanghai is a mix of the old and the new as can be seen in this photo. People flock to the inner city temples on a daily basis to give thanks and pray as skyscrapers are built around the temple perimeter.
