(not quite sure what happened there i was on a role with the two thing)
Well....We were actually meant to go to Darwin originally but the company we were booking it with messed up our order so we were stuck in Cairns not really knowing what to do.... Tim suggested camping "Sweetie it will be fun, romantic and cheap" this suited me down to the ground considering im a hopeless romantic and We were running out of cash very quickly in Cairns so they found a cheap rental and speeded off down the bruce highway!!!
Tim wanted first chance to drive because his sense of direction was (quote from Tim himself "the best") so Ryannan sat back chilled out in the passenger seat and watched Tim being the Alpha male and lead his lady out of the city......................................he got 20 mins down the road and didn't have a bloody clue where to go.......fortunatly Ryannan saved the day (quote from Tim him self again all though he won't admitt it in person with "her perfect sense of direction") So first hurdle crossed we're on the highway, we decide for our first trip we head to the highest Waterfall in Australia and off we went....................
We arrvied at camp pretty late so we set up camp, played a few games of shit head, not know the game, its been explained in article, RULES AND GAME PLAYING OF THE TRUE BACKPACKERS CARD GAME SHIT HEAD. and then went to bed
End of day 1............

Een auto, twee mensen, een 2-persoonstent, twee slaapzakken, twee plastice borden en twee plastice bekers, vier lepels/messen/vorken & zes dagen
(niet zeker wat daar gebeurde maar het klonk wel lekker het hele twee-gedoe)
Nou...we zouden eigenlijk naar Darwin gaan maar het bedrijf waar we een auto hadden geboekt hadden het mooi verklooit waardoor we nu vast zaten in Cairns en geen flauw idee hadden wat te doen...Tim vond kamperen wel een goed idee 'Het is leuk, romantisch en goedkoop', deze drie woorden klonken Ryannan zeer goed aangezien ze een hopeloze romanticus is. Aangezien we in Cairns redelijk makkelijk geld uitgaven hadden we een goedkoop autootje (lees: autoTJE) gehuurd en reden we al gauw 160 over de Bruce Highway!!! Tim wilde graag als eerste rijden omdat mijn gevoel voor directie (uhum) vrij goed is, dus Ryannan zat lekker achterover in haar stoel en zag haar lieftallige vriendje haar de stad uitrijden (dat was eigenlijk het plan)........na 20 minuten vroeg Tim zich toch een beetje af of hij de goeie weg opging...en uiteindelijk was Ryannan degene die de goede weg had gevonden (met haar betere gevoel voor directie, voor een vrouw dan) en zo kwamen we uiteindelijk toch goed uit. Zo, al razend over de snelweg besloten we dat ons eerste bezoek die moest zijn aan de hoogste waterval in Australie en daar gingen we dus....
We arriveerden vrij laat op de camping en na de tent op te hebben gezet en een paar spelletjes shithead te hebben gespeeld gingen we maar naar bed.
