Cubans live on the streets at any time of the day or night. The street is their true home. The streets are often dirty also in towns generally well maintained as Trinidad, where often the local authority does disinfestation to get rid of mosquito and vermin.

One of the peculiarities of Cuba are definitely the streets. The most famous is certainly the Malecón along the coast in Havana. It was built to protect the city from the water, but in reality, it would serve more for night time promenades by Habaneros. Photograph it almost empty as in this shot is infrequent.

In Cuba you can find people walking in the middle of the street, cars parked anywhere, horses tied at the windows along the sidewalk, because the street is for everyone and everything.
