My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Worldwide | Tuesday, October 12, 2010 | 4 photos

Greetings World Nomads~
My photography has been my greatest creative reward in life. A gift for which I am eternally grateful. My desire to be a photo journalist has always been dangled in front of me like the ever proverbial 'golden carrot' sweetly smiling saying "oh yes, someday... someday" The prospect of being able to experience a photographic submersion such as this is well, beyond the dream. The idea of traveling to Bhutan and the Himalayas has been a lifelong vision as well. I am extremely independent and tenacious and when presented with an opportunity in sync with a passion I hold dear it's like 'mind candy' and all my attention is focused on it. I learn by observation, listening intently and asking too many questions and although I do tend to ramble it's never a waste of words.
I am presenting as my entry my youngest son Caspian wholeheartedly enjoying his time on the beach in Sayulita Mexico. I chose this theme as the entry rules suggest that the pictures be able to tell a story (and they do) and that has been my mantra for the last 6 weeks: tell a story. As is such I have not added captions to the photos as they alone speak for themselves.
I believe that I am an amazing woman with a unique photographic eye and a deeply spiritual love of the world. Together that union does and will continue to benefit humanity. For they may wholly appreciate and better understand life through the myriad of beautiful expressions that are portrayed in my pictures. This opportunity if offered to me, I believe would better myself and the world in turn. For me there is no greater gift than the truth portrayed in beauty and witnessed through the heart. I am eternally grateful for all photography has given me. My sincerest blessings to all contestants.
Namaste
