One Wilde Woman's adventures

Florence - Pisa

Had a great time in Florence. Best thing I did was take a local bus ( Number 12 or 13) to Piazelle Michelangelo for 1.20 euro each way to catch beautiful panoramic views of this gorgeous city. Went with a friend and we bought food first and had a picnic while admiring the view and sitting under the bronze statue of David I had my photo taken under 26 years ago.

Also celebrated Unita d Italia day on 17 March with parades, music, dancing and fireworks. Of course we had to also celebrate St Patricks day too so found an Irish pub and had a pint of Guinness. Were also given a Guinness leprechaun hat each stating The Friendliest Day of the Year 17 March 2011. We had a great time.

The original walking tour of Florence (25 Euro) lasted 3 hours and was well worth while on the first day.

Have walked all of Pisa yesterday afternoon and today. It is also lovely but Florence is bigger and has more to offer.

Dogs are allowed on trains here. I was concerned at the way a terrier sitting opposite me seemed to be eyeing up my luggage as a possible marking spot. Luckily no disaster occurred.

Blue skies and 18 degrees today but a bit windy.

Keep the takes of your trip rolling on. I had a laugh and could imagine you giving the dog the evil eye on the train in the hope he would not pee on your bag. Take care it is a wet day here.
