NEW YORK new york

New York New York ... so good they named it twice - well kinda! We’ve spend most of our time in Manhattan but went to Soho, Greenwich Village, Little Italy and the financial district, where we  visited Ground Zero. It has a very simple memorial to the 2900 victims of 9/11 and  is a hive of rebuilding activity as the Freedom Tower construction gets underway. We brought the weather with us and had a big snow day, - fun but really cold in the wind – gave up trying to brave it and spent the afternoon at the Museum of Natural History. This was absolutely wonderful  and we could have spent much longer.  Ate at a great Italian – Caprese – couple of times, at Sushi Twist on Madison - yum - and at the Broadway McDonalds. Lined up for cheap Broadway show tickets and went to see Hairspray at the Neil Simon Theatre – great fun!  Visited Liberty and Ellis Islands and shopped at Macys!!! (got some new boots!) Off to Dublin tonight.
