Where next? Is a question travellers ask themselves frequently, and at any point from deep within a current trip, to however long after it takes after to recover from it.
There are many different ways to travel. My first travel blog, Where Next Australia, documented a road-trip around the Great Southern Land as I saw my home country in the same way that many international tourists do: at speed, compromising between must-sees and might-see-laters, and experiencing a mixture of travel exhaustion and euphoria.
Living in Japan from 2006, I could take slower pace, day-tripping and overnighting through 46 of the 47 prefectures (will get to Okinawa eventually), enjoying the variety each season brings, the food and the festivals.
