Started early in the morning at 6.15 am with a walk across to the two parks near Ben Thanh Market. Lots of locals doing Tai Chi, playing badmington, aerobics to music, using fixed exercise machines, running and walking. Kevin took off for his run and I walked around just taking in all the local atmosphere. Breakfast at Beautiful Saigon Hotel was included in the room rate and was just too much for Kevin. He had juice, yoghurt, watermellon, bacon & eggs, pancake, fresh bagette roll, butter and jam and a coffee. The hotel only has 22 rooms across 6 floors. The hotel is only 5 metres wide and they need to clear the foyer area each morning to set up for breakfast. We then headed off to grab a few items at the pharmacy, look around Saigon Square Market and headed back to meet up with Andrew and Thuy from Adelaide. We went to Nha Hang Ngon at 160 Pasteur St for a quick drink and catch up before they headed to the airport. We walked back to the hotel dropping in at Saigon Square, Ben Thanh Market and Tax Supermarket near Rex Hotel. Lazy afternoon and then headed back to Nha Hang Ngon for tea. Located at each side of the restuarant are long tables with different fresh ingredients on display and you can watch how the chefs prepare the different types of meals. My Pho Beef soup was very nice and Kevin's Fillet Mignon was a little different being a thin piece of steak with eggs and chips. It was very tender. Dessert was a jelly layered thingy with coconut milk and crushed ice. Very delicious.
