We made it to Coffs harbour before the bad weather. It's summer storm season and the photo shows that one is on it's way. The picture is a view from our apartment overlooking the marina. A perfect spot from which to view a tropical storm with forked lightning and everything.
We were having dinner at a seafood restaurant in town when we heared the first thunder cracks. It was reported that some local places were hit with hailstones as big as tennis balls that smashed windows and dented cars. The high winds demolished some homes near Brisbane. Its amazing that we had perfect skies during that day with 27 degree celsius temperature, at night a deadly storm followed by another perfect day. We seemed to just drive through without getting too affected by any severe weather.
