The Golden Road to Samarkand We are the Pilgrims, master; we shall go Always a little further: it may be beyond the last blue mountain barred with snow Across that angry or that glimmering sea. Surely we are brave who take the Golden Road to Samarkand. - Hassan by James E. Flecker

My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

This was taken in the Klias Wetlands in Borneo and is an increasingly rare image, to be able to see a Proboscis monkey in the wild. Not many people know that they are more endangered than the Orang-utan. There are fewer than 60,000 Orang-utans left and only around 15,000 Proboscis Monkeys.
